Hanwha Ocean launches Singapore’s first FSRU
Hanwha Ocean launched MOL’s 204,000-cbm FSRU for Singapore’s second LNG import terminal. The unit is described as the world’s first FSRU designed for 25 years of continuous regasification without regular dry-docking. Singapore LNG will charter the vessel from MOL, with 5 mtpa of regas capacity and start-up planned in 2030. The FSRU will be moored at Jurong Port and connected to Singapore’s gas network, complementing the existing Jurong Island LNG terminal.
